Outdoor and environmental educator
Megan McGinty has been an outdoor and environmental educator for over twenty-five years. She was born and raised in Kentucky but considers western Washington state her home. She recently finished a PhD at University of Washington, focusing on the ways that children interacting with plants and rocks outdoors is important science education. Other research and teaching topics include land-based pedagogy and equity in environmental education. She loves spending time outside, in all kinds of situations, and is honored to be visiting Alaska for a few years.
